Our estimates are based on industry cost data from BCIS, BMF, and ONS, calibrated against thousands of real project quotes. They're designed to give you a reliable ballpark — accurate enough to spot a bad quote, not a substitute for a professional tender. Always get 3 quotes from vetted contractors.
How often are prices updated?+
Material prices are updated monthly based on BCIS construction cost indices and supplier data. Regional labour multipliers are reviewed quarterly. Pro users receive an email alert whenever significant price movements occur.
Can I cancel my Pro subscription?+
Yes, you can cancel any time from your dashboard settings. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your billing period. No long-term commitment required.
Is Estiquote available outside the UK?+
Currently Estiquote covers England, Scotland and Wales with regional pricing. We're working on Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland coverage. International pricing is on our roadmap.
Do you include VAT in estimates?+
All estimates are shown ex-VAT. Most building contractors charge VAT at 20% on their services. Some new builds and conversions may qualify for reduced VAT rates — we flag this where relevant. Always confirm VAT treatment with your contractor.
