Where Trade fits your workflow
- Set the project context. Choose the work category, country, area type, size, finish and relevant extras. Separate an extension from a full new build and check that the selected unit matches your measurements.
- Review the planning breakdown. See the modelled labour, materials and preliminaries allocations. Check assumptions and exclusions before using the result in a client conversation.
- Set your markup and share. Adjust markup and client totals, add an optional business logo and export the client PDF. The report gives you something concrete to discuss; it does not turn guide rates into a fixed quotation.
- Keep the next job separate. Trade removes the saved-project limit, so another early estimate does not require replacing the previous project.

Compare quote totals without losing sight of scope
Trade lets you enter written contractor quote totals and compare them with the estimate’s guide range. It does not automatically read a tender, resolve different specifications or tell you why one contractor costs more.
Before comparing totals, check the drawings, inclusions, exclusions, allowances and tax basis yourself. A lower total may simply cover less work. Use the builder quote comparison worksheet to record unanswered questions alongside each offer.
When you need more than Estiquote
Use project-specific measurements, supplier quotations and professional advice for a contractual price. Estiquote is not a drawing take-off tool, live merchant catalogue, accounting system or replacement for a site visit. Its detailed sections are modelled budget allocations rather than an independently measured bill of quantities.
The current app works offline without an Estiquote account and stores projects on the iPhone. It is not a shared team workspace. Restoring a purchase restores eligible access, not deleted local projects. Read the model and data limits.
Buying once for your own renovation?
You may not need a monthly subscription. Project Pass is intended for one active homeowner project and includes the detailed project report. Start with the renovation budget planner and choose paid access only when the included tools fit your project.
